Ingredients
  • Chicken (500g)
  • Butter (4 tbsp)
  • Onion (1 large, finely chopped)
  • Garlic (4 cloves, minced)
  • Ginger (1 tbsp, grated)
  • Tomato Puree (1 cup)
  • Yogurt (1/2 cup)
  • Ground Cumin (1 tsp)
  • Ground Coriander (1 tsp)
  • Garam Masala (1 tsp)
  • Kashmiri Red Chili Powder (1 tsp)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Fresh Cream (1/4 cup)
  • Fresh Coriander Leaves (for garnishing)

    Step 1 Marinate the chicken with yogurt, ginger, garlic, and salt. Let it sit for 30 minutes.

    Step 2 Heat 2 tbsp of butter in a pan. Add the marinated chicken and cook until browned. Remove from heat and set aside.

    Step 3 In the same pan, heat the remaining butter. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.

    Step 4 Add the tomato puree, ground cumin, ground coriander, garam masala, and Kashmiri red chili powder to the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes.

    Step 5 Add the cooked chicken back to the pan. Stir well to coat the chicken with the tomato sauce. Cook for another 5 minutes.

    Step 6 Stir in the fresh cream and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Adjust salt to taste.

    Step 7 Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with naan or rice.
