Prepare the Apple Filling 1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, flour, cinnamon, salt, and lemon juice. Toss until the apples are evenly coated.

Assemble and Bake the Pie 1. On a lightly floured surface, roll out one disk of the pie crust into a circle large enough to fit your pie dish. Transfer the crust to the dish and press it gently into the bottom and sides.
2. Pour the apple filling into the crust, making sure it is evenly spread out.
3. Roll out the second disk of pie crust and place it over the apple filling. Trim any excess crust and seal the edges by crimping with a fork or your fingers.
4. Brush the top crust with the melted butter.
5. Cut a few slits on the top crust to allow steam to escape during baking.
6. Place the pie on a baking sheet and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
7. Remove from the oven and let the pie cool for at least 2 hours before serving.
